Defeating the BURRITTO

Chipotle is popular burritto joint out here. Every once and a while they have a promtion where they hand out free burrittos. Yes, FREE burrittos. So Dan and I show up to wait in line for our massive free chunk of beef and beans. Apparently the entire city decided they wanted the same thing. The line went around the building and three building long. Needless to say, Dan wasn't going to give up that easy. He pulled out his umbrella and went and stood in line for about 20 mintutes in the POORING Rain. People were just soaked waiting for their burritto. I convinced Dan to come home and give up, his reply "but than the burritto wins!" MEN! The only way I could get him to come home is to promise him we would come back later when the line was shorter. Long story short, we came back 3 hours later and waited in a hour line to get our 2 free burrittos so Dan could defeat the burritto! But while we were in line the chick-ful-A guy came over and handed out free chicken nugget gift certificates. So We may have wasted hours of our life, but we got 2 free meals! AND Dan got to "CONQUER" the burritto!

Quick Trip to Utah

Okay, so a lot happened this last weekend and because I have been such a blog slacker I decided to update you. So Dan and I took a short trip home (Dan's first in over a year) to just relax and enjoy before Dan hit the books hard for boards. First off Mom as you can see is doing a lot better. She still has a long way to go and is on a VERY strict diet. You have to feel bad for her. She still is not getting enough oxygen so she has to carry her tank around everywhere. The dr.s think the congestive heart faliure might have been caused by primary pulmonary hypertension in her lungs. She has more testing to be done. The list of medications she is on is huge! But she has a good attitude about taking better care of herself and my sisters are really helping her out.

Mike and Jamie took us out boating. Yeah Mike totally rocked on the wake board! I think us girls love being in the sun more than anything! Corbin was such a blast, he loved honking the horn and yelling "get out the way boat!" Even when there was no boat in site!

Dan did awesome for his first time EVER wake boarding. He got up his first time. I was so surprised when he got back on the boat and I asked him how many times he had been before and he said this was his first. I was so proud! I think he felt pretty good to until the next day when he started walking like an old man, because he'd used muscles he didn't know he had!

Now this is the way it should be, all us girls together. We know how to have fun. I was suppose to visit Lori this weekend again, but felt horrible when I had to bail on her because SOMEBODY at Dan's fam got me SICK! All of Jason's family got sick too! But Lori and I will have more opportunities to kick it in the coming months. I am so excited for her new adventure of moving away for her PhD program to Indiana.

We finally got a family picture with everyone in it! We barely missed Mike on our last one. It is so weird to think Jam and Mike have only been married a year. It just seems like he has always been around. As the sales associate at Zumiez would say "Oh my gosh, you are totally married? Are you totally still in love? (inside joke for us girls)

Let me tell you how hard it is to get Dad to smile. I think I finally realized where us girls get all our scuzz faces from :)

Dan loves playing basketball. Especially with his boys.

Explanation?! Girls bringing out the ditsy gene!

My sisters threw me a baby shower one day and came up with this wonderful idea to make brownies with frosting and oreo's. well when we took a better look at the brownies they were raw at the bottom. Colleens oven was out of commission so we thought if we put them on the stove top it will cook the bottom right?? Right?? Yeah, just minutes after making this decision we were proven to be wrong, VERY wrong. The glass pan exploded and went flying everywhere, including into all the food that had been prepared. With minutes until guests arrive and a huge glass mess in the kitchen and the food completely ruined, you can only image the stress levels my sisters were in. It was hilarious to watch. I can't believe we were that stupid. But amazingly enough we got threw it and after a quick clean up and moms quick run to the grocery store, my sisters still managed to feed our guests uncontaminated food and pull off a great shower! The picture is the after math of what was left!

Well We are adding another girl to the family! Travis proposed to his girlfriend Christa this weekend. I got to meet her for the first time this weekend. They are getting hitched Aug 15th, I kicked Travis's butt more than once because this is just a few days before my little guy is to make his big arrival. So We won't be making it to Travis and Christa's big day. But you can tell Travis is so happy, he is just beaming. Congrats you to love birds!

We have starting making a tradition of a girls night out when Holly is in town. Of course we always have a blast.

I know all of these pictures are mostly of my fam. But we did have a lot of fun with Dan's fam too. He got to go camping with them for a few days and my fam came up one night to roast mallows and enjoy the fire. Cindy and Kari threw me an awesome baby shower too! Oh love seeing everyone! It is so bitter sweet to come home.
