Things have really picked up around our house. Grandpa passed away last week and Lori and I decided he deserved to have all of his grand kids together. So Lori, Jen, Dan, Hades and I drove the 26 hours home (straight) to be there for his funeral. Grandpa was such a special person. I know people always have good stuff to say about a family member that passes, but Grandpa was different. He was SUPER special. I really loved Grandpa, he had such a quiet, relaxed personality. But would totally throw you off guard with a joke here and there. He was the kinda person that helped you better yourself with out telling you how to do it. He was just so awesome. It was bitter sweet for everyone. God has taken him in his arms and reunited him with his true love. I pray that I can lead a life that will make Grandpa proud. It was so worth going to spend those few moments with his spirit. Unfortunately Travis and I had a switch up with cameras so we didn't have our camera most of the trip.
On another note. It was SO fun being at home. Colleen helped me put together my first rag quilt. Cindy made some wonderful prime rib and I got to spend Thanksgiving with my family! But on the way back the weather had made the roads so bad that it took us about 32 hours to get home. Thanks to Lori and Jen in the backseat for entertaining Hayders! When we got back my wonderful neighbor helped me make Hayden's blessing outfit. I could not have done it without her! Thanks Liz! This is the first outfit I have put together and I am very proud of it. So here is a preview of the big day! But I am low on pictures so the rest are just some random ones.
