Are you serious, already?

Hadley (abbley as Hayden says) is already 4 months old. Wow.... seriously, Wow. That came fast, too fast! I keep thinking I have a petite little girl, not so. She weighed in at 16.2 lbs 90%. More to love. She is such an easy baby. She is constantly smiling and cooing. Recently her cute laugh that used to sound more like a cough has turned into a yelp. She just lays there yelping at everyone. The day of her 4 month appointment we came home and she starting rolling from back to belly. I am SO not ready for a mobile baby! We love our little drama queen! Happy 4 months Hadley.

A Biggy for me

I have seriously been waiting to make this post for 4 months! Let me start off by saying, I am not a runner, in fact, people who know me would be surprised to even see me exercise. But this was one of thee toughest and rewarding goals I have accomplished. I feel like running is more a mental game than a physical ability. A bunch of girls decided to run the Capital City Marathon back in December and when I started my training in January Daniel decided to get in on the action. When I started I couldn't run a mile. But Saturday May 1, 2010 Holly Lynne made it 13.1 miles! About 2 weeks before the race I jacked up my knee on my long run, so when the race got closer I came to the realization that I would probably not make my goal time because of my injury. But I had put so much time and effort into this race that I was determined to finish this thing, even if I had to walk it.

I took the week off before the race to help my knee heal and Saturday I was sore but SO ready to hit the pavement. Mile 3 my knee started giving and I slowed down put pushed on. Around mile 6 I was honestly hating life. Mile 10 my knee totally gave out and I was so discourage and wanted to cry as I saw my goal time pass me by. Mile 11 I just keep saying I worked so hard for this why give up now. The pain was more than I could bare but I would just run (more like limp) until it would give way and walk until I would get the guts to start running (limping) through the pain. Mile 12.75 I see my hottie hubby running to meet me. Just what I needed to a make the last 100 meters or so. He made me feel so much better cheering me on.

BEST FEELING CROSSING THAT FINISH LINE!

All my friends and hubby totally whooped my butt on time. I missed my goal time but in the end I wasn't disappointed one bit because I finished. I do not run and I just ran 13 miles! Few days later and my knee is still in bad shape. But really hoping for a full recovery so in June I can run another Half with my sister Colleen and totally wipe out my old time!

We had a racing party that night and ate like pigs!
