We shall call her.........

Yes, it took us a while to decide on a name. We actually jetted out of the hospital without a name, and oh boy they were all over us like we had committed a crime for not naming our child! But all is well now. She will be known as Hadley Lynne. The middle name was the hardest thing to pick I really wanted something different for a middle name, but in the end it just looked like our little girl. Hadley had her pic's taken yesterday. My baby girl is a week old ALREADY! Wow. Here is a preview of little miss sis.

Hayden went to Hadley's one week appointment and the poor guy has his first ear infection. He is loving his little sis and likes to share his trucks. He is growing up so fast, he has officially started talking. Besides Mom, Dad and the beloved NO, CaRs has been added to his vocab with an occasional moRe.

My mother in law has been heaven sent along with my hubby! Two kids under two is a lot of work, something is always going on. But these little spirits are SO worth it.

She made it!

Little girl came early afternoon Monday after my water broke. Oh she is a feisty little doll and we love her. 7lbs 2oz 21 inches. Our Christmas miracle. Babies are just so special!

She is very much a daddy's girl. She will scream at mom and she goes to dad and hushes right up! Hayden is not quite sure what to think of baby sis but he is loving all the extra attention from Grandma and Stacey. As soon as she got home he showered her with trucks.

I know its a quick post but more to come!

Not yet

That's right the ticker to the side says today is the day! Little girl has not made an appearance, but I am having plenty of contractions. I go in on Tuesday to be induced if she doesn't work her magic by then. I have actually been feeling a lot better the last couple of days, compared to the misery I have been experiencing. In the mean time my mother in law and sister in law joined us and have been wonderful company the last few days. I am so excited to have them here for Christmas, yes I feel a little guilty taking them away from the rest of the family, but not bad enough to tell them to stay home! :)

Well wish me luck in the next few days and let me know if you have any suggestions to help me move into labor a little faster!

Maternity Photos

I decided to get some maternity photos this time around and well I pretty much got the whole family involved. Let me just say I was never really into the maternity photo thing before. You fill so ugly and huge pregnant, but this was SUCH a good experience. If you are in the Ohio area you need to go to Amy Suzanne photography. She was awesome, she made me feel so special and beautiful! Amy was also SO patience with my little guy who was not so cooperative in the cold. Another plus she gives a discount to students. Check out her blog and our pictures!

Ortho Residency

Well if you haven't heard yet, this family is headed to Ft. Lauderdale Florida in 6 months. I have to admit I am so excited to be living in a vacation spot for a few years, but also a little nervous. First thought.... "sweet I get to kick it with gators all the time!" second thought.... " would if a gator tries to eat my kid!" I know I am weird. Daniel really loved the people in the program and we got a chance to visit a ward down there, very nice people. Dan will be one of only two boys in his program! But we are so grateful to our Heavenly Father to give our family the opportunity to fulfill Daniel's career goals. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for us and everything he does is for a reason, even though we may never know why. I will soon be starting my own career goal of beach bum with two kids, wish me luck!

P.S. Palm trees love visitors!

Looks like we are on the move....

We found out today that Daniel got accepted into Orthodontic school! Yippee for Dan, I am so proud of him. He always works so hard at his goals. So now we know where we are moving to, which state anyway. But you have to call one of us to find out. I will give you one clue, we ARE moving.

Updates

Well pretty much there is no update. Even at 36 weeks and being SO miserable and uncomfortable, Doc said nothings happening. So more baking in the oven, even though the oven feels over cooked! I complain but I am glad this baby is healthy and growing well.

In other news, Dan submitted his match list last week and........... more waiting. Next week a computer system will tell us where we are going to live for the next 2-3 years! Help me get my mind off the waiting game!! Wish us luck!

Not totally lost mind

I just wanted everyone to know that my heart sunk this last week with all this absentmindedness when I realized I may have also thrown out MY own blessing dress my mom sent me a few weeks back. I was so scarred I told no one in my family, as I didn't want it to get back to mom. Sick I tell you! Just kept thinking what is wrong with me. I used to remember every step I took and now BLANK, everything BLANK! Well after admitting my faults to my mother in law, she suggested some places for me to look. Yes, yes mom I already looked there. Than a new one...... the recently boxed up Halloween decorations. Heaven is shinning down on me today!! There was that super tiny pink dress wrapped around my light up pumpkin! Lets just say I am not afraid to call mom tonight! :) But can I make it these last four weeks? I think I might place hidden cameras around my house to keep track of myself. I hope it doesn't get worse with two kids!
stolen pic from Keens blog, because my camera is no more!

Pregnancy brain

Well for anyone who has grown a little one inside of them I am sure they would understand what is going on with me. I have totally lost my mind, all sense of reality really. I have done so many silly things, I can't believe my name is still Holly and not "Air Head." But one of my most recent pregnancy brain mishaps has me miss placing my camera. Which after tearing apart my house and going step by step of my every last move with the camera in hand, I have come to the conclusion that I placed the camera in the garbage can and quickly insisted that Dan take out the trash. So no camera for awhile. We need to replace it with a little girl on the way, but for now no pictures! Unless my dear sweet friends and family want to email me pictures of my awesome Halloween and trip to Utah!

Actually a lot has been happening the last few weeks with no pictures to share. I will let you see this little tid bit. Dan has been doing interviews for resident positions and has invited (begged) me to go along whenever he was close enough to drive, but when he got invited to Ft. Lauderdale, FL I invited myself (along with my son) to go. What Heaven. The beach and I are ONE!! Here is a couple of the last photos downloaded before the camera jumped out of my hands into the garbage.

Pregnancy Brain again, We went to the beach and I DIDN'T pack Hayden's swim suit!!
Hayden made me smile the whole time. He loved the water, he almost drown so many times because he would want to go further out, and totally not afraid of the surf or the fish in the water!
I have such an obsession with gators, I am just fascinated by them, my first time holding a real live baby gator!
My first time kissing a real live giant frog, that DID NOT turn into a Handsome prince afterward. Daniel was pretty relieved.
The water boat tour to go see some more real gators in the wild.
At first kiddo was a little weirded out by the sand but ten minutes later he was throwing his snacks in the sand before he would put them in his mouth and filling up his cup with sand and trying to drink it. What can I say, he is a boy!

Look at me go!

I friend borrowed me a super cute Halloween outfit for Hayden which I was totally planning on him wearing. Until last night as I was doing a little blog stocking I found THEE cutest Peter Pan Costume. So I headed to the store and started sewing early this morning! This is the end product. I am so excited!
I tried real hard to get him to pose, no luck and my picture skills aren't very good. Of course he has a super cute hat but will not have anything to do with it! If you want to check out the tutorial here is the link. Best part, it cost me all of $6.51 to make! Bring it on Halloween!

Belly pic and Kiddo

It's been a while and I have been so bad at taking pictures! So today was picture day. My fam has been inquiring about belly shots so here I am at 30 weeks! Getting so close!!

Popcorn night!

Hayden has been SOO into trucks and cars! He loves to climb all over his tracker and not so much into driving it around. But he does love pushing it around. Still not talking to much but blabbering, YES!

Just a cute P.J. shot.

Hayden is getting smarter everyday, he makes us laugh all the time. Life can get pretty crazy busy sometimes but being a parent makes it crazy fun!

Sticky fingers

Dan gets kinda bugged sometimes at the things I give Hayden to entertain himself in the car, if I forget toys than I may give him a tire pressure gauge or a pair of old sunglasses. Well Yesterday as Dan was putting Hayden into his car seat he starts the Holly lecture which goes something like this. " Babe... you gave him toe nail clippers? That is SO GROSS, why would you do that?"
Me: "huh, what.. toe nail clippers? I have no idea what you are talking about." Well once we got a closer look at the clippers we noticed they had a store tag on them and were all bright and shiny new. My son has sticker fingers at the young age of 13 months. I know most of you would be all honest and humbled and go to the store and return the clippers or pay for them, as for me.... well I have NO CLUE where they came from. We were just out of state and went to a million places so I am just gonna let this one slide and when the self check out asks me to "Please check your cart" I will be checking my grubby sons hands!

Birthday week and more...

Dan had his birthday this week and it was such a fun day. I got him a football cake for the season, but couldn't quite fit 26 candles on it. This picture is what we constantly get to deal with, Hayden using us as a jungle gym, he thought he would use his new skills on the birthday boy.

Saturday was the game, we headed out to see Ohio State vs. Illinois. It was a lot of fun for me, its been too long since I went to a game. But it POURED! Our weather proof coats were apparently not swimming proof. The game was kinda boring because we slaughtered the other team (about time) but it was fun to get soaking wet and cheer on our team, and who could forget watching the frat girl pass out on the stairs next to us only to lie down and puke in her friends bag... Good old' OSU fans!
Hayden and I decided to make a fort with our chairs the other day and it was a hit we both had fun climbing in and out.
Nothing new but just another pic of Hayden raiding the pantry. This time unsupervised, I think he ate more cereal than an adult. I guess somebody got a little late night snack in before bed!

Happy 26th

Dan hit the big 2-6 today. I swear we both think we are still so young, but 26 is definitely climbing the ladder! We started dating when we were only 18, my how the years pass quickly. I have got a few surprises up my sleeve for his big day ( I LOVE birthdays!) but nothing to crazy! Love you babe and hope you have an awesome day!

Break Week

Okay, where to begin. Long, fun road trip. We did all the usual Mormon East Coast stuff plus some added adventures. It was a blast to have Bruce and Cindy with us. Hayden took no time at all warming up to them. We started by hitting up Gettysburg. Hayden was VERY interested in guns, can you tell by the smile on his face?

We found a Boyd's Bear County outlet store. I have NEVER seen Cindy so happy. We spent hours there. It was pretty fun. We got Hayden this HUGE lion that he surprising loves to jump all over and the ladies working there thought Hayden was so cute they gave him not one but TWO little bears for free! Who could forget Hershey, PA. Yes it really does smell like Chocolate. "It's the Milk Chocolate!" They had a cute little tour and TONS of yummy chocolate to purchase. A quick stop for Office viewers! We went to Scranton, Pam and Jim where unfortunately detained :(

We also went to Palymra, but had some other pretty cool stops on the way. This first wooded picture is the place where the Aaronic priesthood was restored to the Earth by John the baptists. The Church has a little plaque and you can walk down by the river. It was so pretty and looks like all the pictures they paint. The middle pic is of Niagara. It was awesome. We stayed on the Canada side (where they try and rip you off at every turn). But we stayed in a little hotel and when we were walking out we learned that we stayed in the same room Marilyn Monroe stayed in when she was filming the movie "Niagara" (nope never even heard of it). Now, this last picture is pretty cool. Dan's Family has a lot of history in the beginning of the church. So we went and found the road that his ancestors lived on outside of Kirtland, and the site where he was baptized in Lake Erie. I love that his family is so good at documenting things so we can go back and get a glimpse of their history. They kept such good records that we even know where his families land in Navuoo was located and his burial site in Independence. We had a lot of fun and already miss Grandma and Grandpa!

Fun in Utah

I always do this, I get great at blogging every week and than get distracted and wait like a month. But I have a ton of fun pic's to share with the fam. So I headed back to Utah last week to help Keen'o Bean with her boy so she could focus on her new little one "Lukie" witch she just had. I had a blast. I played hard with Corbin and Hayden and most days we got someone to join in on our fun, a.k.a. Mom, Dad or Jamie. Well I will just narrate the pic's below........

Hayden took some warming up to Jam before He wouldn't cry to his mom! Oh boy did that get annoying. But look how cute they are together. Sorry I forgot to take the red eye out of the pics before I uploaded and I am NOT doing it again! Can you see the cute blanket in the back ground that I made Hayden and Lukie TWINNERS!

Since Keen hasn't posted any pic's here is Lukes big depue! Isn't he just a cutie! He was so good and an awesome sleeper. He had jaunice for a couple days and made us all worried but I night at the hosiptal and a sweet blanket that had light on it and he was back to my sweet Lugie!
Can anyone say "POOL PARTY" Oh I dream of the days when I have my own back yard, this is how summer should be. Grandma with the hose and the boys in the pool, while I kick it and catch some rays (of course with an occassion swirt from Grandma.)
Be aware that woman is dangerous with the hose!
I am such a sucker for matching outfits! I love it! These were curitousy of Grandma and Corbin was hilarious, he had to wear his every night!!! He's eyes would just light up when Hayden would come out with the same "JAMMIES" (heaven forbid you call them p.j.'s!!)
Gram also pulled out these sweet thomas the train shoes that light up when you jump high enough. Can you even image the enterainment this kid got out of these. He wore them everywhere even though they were 2 sizes too big. Hilarious.
Jam and Mike were so sweet to drive over almost every night so we could kick it! You can tell the driving was starting to wear on Jamie!
Keen 'o Bean and Me. I don't know which sister I look the most like, but I am okay with even remotely looking like any of them, they are all HOTTIES!
My Lukester! With another blanket me and my peeps put together. I think the fam was getting a little egdy with all the nick names I came up with for this little guy.
We celebrated a few birthdays while I was there and Hayden got spoiled. Corb helped him open his presents. Jam is trying to help with the cool new Helicopter but she got pretty bombarded.
Uncle Mike and Hayden. This kid has a female complex. He would go to any one of his uncles or Grandpa, but just wine when a female besides mom even looked at him wrong! But he sure loved Mike.
The dinosaur park. What a blast for kids. They have redone so much since my last trip 25 years ago! Just kidding but it really was fun for kids and very entertaining.
Dino movie, yeah it was no Land Before Time (LAMO) Not reccommed if you hit up the park.
Me and Jam feeding the ducks
More JAMMIES time, with a little "hug" from Corb
Mike and Jam brought over High School Musical 3 one night claimming they had never seen the series at all...... well needless to say the rest of the week was HSM week! We conquered the movies now Mike is going to show us the moves and Jam and I are making our own HSM! Just waiting for Zac Efron to respond to my emails!
Of course I had to get more matching outfits. So cute Corbin helping Haydes at the duck pond.
It was awesome to see Gramps interact with Haydes a little bit, before My dad was deathly afraid of breaking the kid. But now that he is more mobile Dad just eats it right up.
I loved spending so much time with my mom, and she really helped out with watching the two kids, she is such a goof sometimes. I love it.
Of Course I headed over to the inlaws to party it up. Again Hayden loved Travis but didn't want anything to do with anybody else! Not even his super cute cousins! Little lily was sick so we didn't get to see her, but Keen gave me her disease anyway! Sorry Lily, next time!
Dan's parents with a tired little boy!
The best way to end a trip??? Some awesome snuggles from the man of the hour! Love you Lukie!
