Domestication

My wonderful husband got me a sewing machine for V-day and I am loving it. I have been trying to think of ways to work on some Holly talents (I am few and far between) so this machine has been speaking to me! Here are some recent projects.

Another rag baby blanket. I know just basic but so am I.

Hayden modeling Corbin's apron which is now called a "bibb"
(Yes my son cooks naked!)

Another apron I made for Keen.

I have more ambitions up my sleeves, I will keep you updated.

I have out done sham wow!

Take this Sham Wow! I know I am not the only one with disgusting looking cookie sheets. I was just so sick of looking at them, I was about to start a new.... When I saw the morning show that showed me how to spruce up the place :)

After............WALA! Hey I thought it was blog worthy! :) Nothing a little baking soda and vinegar can't take care of.

Lucky five!

So this is circulating in the blog world..... Sounds like fun!! Sign up, you won't be sorry! The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me, Holly. My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1-I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2- What I create will be just for you.
3-It'll be done by April 21sat.
4-You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may scrapbook something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did it will then win a fabulous homemade gift made by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Have fun playing!

6 Months

Holy Cow time flies, I know everyone says that but it is so true. Our little guy has been kept alive for 6 months. If Dan and Holly can raise a child to 6 months ANY one can do it! I have definitely discovered the joys of motherhood. Hayden is so entertaining and knows to pick mom's side on any dispute! :) He just keeps getting smarter and cuter everyday.

The fascination with books is endless. Who knew they could sound so cool when you slap and pound on them?

Kissable lips! Oh boy, very kissable! Do you want to have a go?

Toys everywhere, is the only way Hayden will have it. This picture looks so much like his cousin Corbin, what do you think Keen?

Anything I can get my hands on is considered a toy.

No I am not hiding anything in my cheeks!?

Hayden is none stop! Seriously the only time he slows down is in his crib for naps and bedtime in mom or Dad's arms. So I was utterly surprised when I turned around to see this! Just kicking it watching mom pretend to exercise, I couldn't stop laughing.

All smiles as I try to bust the buttons to show my super human baby strength!

I can't believe Hayden has grown up so fast, but I love it. Every stage gets funner and funner. Granted we have a few ruff days here and there, but this boy loves to play and let mom torture him with love! He takes after his dad and sleeps whenever gets the opportunity. With Mickey and Minnie at his side of course. He will eat anything you put in his face, and sweet potatoes are his all time favorite food. He is a pretty good kid and I am looking forward to what may come along! Happy half Birthday Hayden!

Lorissss and Jen Trip

My sister from Indiana came to visit again this weekend, and it is always a blast when she arrives. I threw her a belated birthday party since I didn't get to see her on her big day. I made my first layered cake and finished my first rag quilt(that she received as a gift) all by myself!

The birthday girl

The rag blanket I made, thanks Keen for the tips! I have to say I think I am totally going to get into this blanket and sewing thing. SO much fun.

So we headed off to "Schakolad" for a tour of their chocolate factory. Needless to say it was more of a shop than a factory, but it was awesome! They let us make our own chocolates! Jen went first and picked a tiny soccer ball sucker out of an entire wall of molds. Than I chose a bigger and funner to make choo choo train for Hayden. Than Lorisss picks this gigantic alligator that was probably a pound of chocolate. Anyway it was awesome, we all got our hands dirty and dug into the chocolate.

Dan was kind enough to kick it with Haydes and just watch all the fun! But there is a few of the gazillion molds to pick from behind us.

They also showed us how to write with chocolate and let us have at it. I don't think the things I wrote are appropriate for this blog :)

Jen's tiny sucker

Lorisss giant alligator that had to be placed in a thron(sp) of gold to carry home!

Awesome fun, lots of girl talk and painting nails (thanks Dan for letting us do our thing:))
