In-laws are in town

Like I say every post, my life is a party. Spring break 2011 BABY! Dan had the week off and his parents came for their first visit. Cindy fell in love (how could you not?) I let Bruce(Dad) take all the pictures and than had all intentions of copying them, but of course I spaced it. So I have very little in the picture department. But we stayed busy!

We went to down town Ft. Lauderdale to hit up the St. Patties Parade

Shark Valley Park has tons of "A-gator" as Hadley would say. You can walk right up to them, but I think you get a ticket if you get to close or try to touch em. Hadley can always find the "Tutll" can you tell we were getting a little roasty? What am I going to do when it gets hotter!? We really do only have 2 seasons... hot and very hot!

I swear I never get pics' of my man. Here is a shout out to my Hispanic lover!

The infamous Gator park. Hayden walked around for about 30 minutes with those on before we ever even got on the boat.

It was so fun for Cindy and Bruce to be in the warm weather, I think they really enjoyed it and Cindy ate up Hadley every chance she got. Hadley was so attached to Cindy and Bruce and I felt bad because Hadley is almost as tall as Cindy! I thought Cindy was going to fall over whenever she picked her up.

Bruce was freaking out the first couple alligators he saw in the wild. Than once he saw about 50 of 'em he calmed down a bit. But you can see the excitement in his eyes!

Some kind of dragon lizard the kids got to pet. Did I mention a snake is living in my front yard? Talk about anxiety! Dan won't kill it because he said he is doing more good than harm (supposedly eating all those massive spiders and bugs Holly is freaked out about.)

I can't even recall all the times we went out to eat. The parentals thought they had to treat us 24-7. Lets not talk about the weight I gained the 10 days they were here. This picture is of us having pizza on the beach in front of the Hollywood broad walk.

oh boy I could go on and on about beach stories. Hayden loves to just kick it on his monkey towel Grandma Lou gave him. DO NOT mess with his towel! Bruce learned the hard way.

Check out that cleavage! You could spot this girls swimsuit a mile away. She and Grandma were really into checking out all the hotties on the beach.

I loved that Cindy loved the beach so much. We could soak up our vitamin D all week long.

We went to Ft Meyers and took a catamaran boat ride. It was suppose to be this most relaxing ride in the middle of the ocean. It turned out to be more of a keep Hadley alive kind of trip! It was just to hard for her. She wanted to go everywhere and you can't because a poll can swing at any moment and wack her, she was ready to dive off the boat without hesitation. Oh what a power struggle for the whole family. Hayden was the perfect little boy. Just sitting there commentating our every move and just still!

I felt bad for the grandparents so I dragged Hadley to the front that had a drop down seating, where I could kinda contain her and let Bruce and Cindy enjoy the ride. ( the life jackets lasted all of 5 min) I am sure the people sitting there were more than put off, but they were pleasant and tried to help entertain her.

This is me giving up! I was honestly getting sea sick from running around trying to keep my daughter alive.

Cindy and I hit up the beach alone her last day. It was unbelievably crowded from spring breakers! Usually this place is empty so I had to get a shot at how packed it was.

My Man looks SO fine with some color! Besides the lack of hair, my baby does not look like a baby anymore!!

I more than enjoy having visitors and loved not only seeing the in-laws but seeing the kiddos build more of a relationship with their grandparents. That is the hardest thing about living away from your family, you feel like your kids are missing out on those family bonds. So it was special for Dan and I to see how much the kiddos loved their grandparents. And it was nice for me to have Cindy around, so we could make fun of our hubbies together! Bruce and his liquid gold, aka sun block. Dan with his newly acquired lisp from his lingual braces. It was good times. good times..

The moment has come....

Hayden: Mom, where you going?
Mom: To the store to get some stuff for Hadley's hair
Hayden: Mom... where's Hadley's hair?

So I may be jumping the gun here, but I got pretty excited. Hadley had enough of a mullet that I can put it into two little pig tales. It makes her look kinda hillbilly, but it helps with a more "girlie" look. What do you think, should I hold off a while longer or start bundling up that mullet?

My life is like a yo-yo

Do you ever feel so up and down you that wonder if there is something wrong with you? I am just a mess! I can have a great week with the kids and love being a mom and in just a few hours of naughty I can forget all that happiness and just want so badly to lock myself in the closet. I will find a strong interest in a hobby and go at it strong for a day or two and then not even want to look at my waiting project. I can bawl my eyes out and have the spirit touch my heart and forget about my feelings all to quickly. Don't get me started on exercise and diet, I am on and off that band wagon to many times to count in a week. Cooking is the same story, a week or two of deli-sh food on the table followed by a week of burgers and sloppy joes. One week I will be out and about wanting to socialize and talk to anyone I can make eye contact with, and than I crawl back into my hole hiding from anyone that speaks in full sentences. Believe me I could go on... why am I posting this?? I need stability in my life, but I don't know how to obtain it. Maybe I just have A.D.D. Okay I am pretty sure I have A.D.D. But someone out there help me out. How do I keep an interest and stay motivated?

New Do

I had to chop of those blond curls. It was a love hate relationship. After a bath he would look so darling, but after a nap he looked a crazy loone! I tried trimming it up to no avail, I brought out the clippers.

His hair is no longer blond, it more of a sandy brown, I am sure as the summer comes so will the blond. It's just hair, and so much easier to handle. Now if his sister could grow more than just her little 2 inch mullet, momma would be happy.

Well its offical. I may not have an official picture, but it is what it is. It's almost like a light bulb just switched. She has been cruising and taking steps here and there for months and than tonight... well she just took off like a mad man. kinda took us by surprise. She was all over the house with in minutes.

I am strugglin in the picture department, but this was dress up today.

Hadley was dressed as princess Hadley and Hayden was prince Tonka. You have to improvise when your son has to copy everything that his sister does, vice verse. So a quick tid bit. Hayden whined for like a week that his ear was hurting him so I took him to the doc and there was NO ear infection and I think I figured it out, it was his hair, it WAS so shaggy. So I trimmed up the sides. 5 days later no complaints about his ear, but he looks like a goof. Total muffin top, 80's look. I may just buzz it off cuz I feel bad for him. I will have take a pic of him after a bath he looks Exactly like his Dad and Uncle Jason when they were little.

Nothing like a dip in the pool in February and a couple trips to the splash park

Caught red handed. OH these kiddos just feed off each other. I only see it getting worse as times goes on. You may be thinking what the CRAP is Holly doing with a jumbo tub of peanuts. I have no answer...

Okay so I have been playing hard these last couple months, I swear my life is one big party. But I have been pretty anti-blog and fb lately. We all go through phases right? Anyway I have some pictures to share of recent events. Over the MLK weekend we went up north about 30 minutes to Deer field beach and just kinda kicked it. It was a gloomy day so not much for the beach but we found some playgrounds and breath taking scenery. I know I say this everytime I post, but I am in love with where I live. We were having hurricane warnings and still place was gorgeous!

yeah it was windy, but not as bad as it looks in the photo.

The next weekend my mom and Jamie came out for a little trip. I have had more visitors in the last 8 months than 4 years in Ohio (okay not really, but we are getting really close)
Mom was pretty entimated by all the alligators down here, so we had to take her to shark Valley and a Gator swamp tour. We did not disappoint. We went to Sanibal Island and went sea shell hunting. Saw a beatiful sunset on a Naples beach (horrible with names.) We drank a thousand gallons of free juice at fruit stand in Ft. Myers.

We are talking white sandy beaches PEOPLE!

Here are a couple pics with mom and the gators.
She claims she still fears for our lives in South Florida. Even though it was a 40 minute drive from our house to see the gates.

Alligator wrestling show.

Mai-Kai Polynesian restaurant. They had dancers doing dances from different islands and Men playing with fire, accidentally dropping it into the crowd and than starting the floor on fire! So entertaining.

They had the place decked out with island decor.

One of my family favorite things to do, go down to Hollywood beach and eat ice cream. Like I said, I love my life (not so much my scale after a total splurge the last 2 months of my party life, but I still love my life)

While sitting on the beach, Jam broke out her phone and started a disco for us. Oh Hadley was going crazy. The girls got the gangster moves! She puts her arms up at the 90 degree angle and rocks back and forth. Hilarious.

Of course I miss my mommy and sis and wish everyone could live closer and enjoy this weather with me it was a tad chilly while they were here, but mom needed 70 degree weather I don't think she would love what 80's feels like here! Anyhoo.. the very next weekend after they left we went to Orlando. What a blast. Lets see if I can get my act together for another post for DW!
