18 Months

using the mirror to brush our teeth

watching cars

Hayden had his 18 month check up, man does he have a hatred for the doctors offices. Surprisingly he did better than other check ups! Check this out, 94% for his head! yeah pretty big noggin! 66% for height and 42% weight. I think all the ear infections took a toll on his weight gain in 6 months he only gained a little over one pound.
Hayden can say a few more words but his favorites are more, beep beep, bowl, shoes and of course cars! He has an obsession with bowls, whenever he has a snack he has to have his bowl to walk around with. He is very into climbing on EVERYTHING possible, he started climbing on the kitchen chairs (the really tall ones) and I found a finger print on the picture of Jesus above the kitchen table the other day! He can open the front door and tries to sneak out to enjoy the warm weather. He likes to do everything himself and doesn't want any help. I can honestly say that I think Hayden could watch the movie "Cars" 24 hours straight and be on top of the world. I have to say over all Hayden is a very sweet lovely boy, but we definitely have our hard times. He is not sweet ALL the time (especially when he wants to get gold fish for dinner!)

It is so amazing to me how different my kids are from each other and how much you learn to love them in such different ways.

Tell me what you think?

So I was reminiscing tonight and looking through old photos from before we moved to Ohio, and first of all I want to say how much I TOTALLY miss my super cute nieces and Corby! Dan and I used to spend so much time with Abbi and loved every minute of it and now I feel like we barely know her! Oh she was a blast! To this day we still laugh about her wanting to put bacon in everything we pretended to cook (thanks to her dad who loved bacon) and how we would play with her "chicken" aka kitchen! When looking at pictures of Corbin, I can't believe how cute he was and his brother Lukie really is his twin. Anyhoo... I saw a couple pictures of Ellie and keep saying, oh my gosh Daniel, this looks like my little girl! I swear Hadley looks so much like Ellie, I couldn't really find a picture that does justice, but tell me if I am just hoping Hadley looks as cute as Ellie! The nose, ears, lips and eyebrows! I wish I had a better picture, but tell me what you think?

Jam, Jam

We had an awesome visit from Jam this last week. She flew into Indy and she and Lori drove out to Ohio to see our fam. I am still going threw sister withdrawls! Having her here makes me realize how much I miss having her around.

Yeah you try to get two little kids to look at the camera at the same time!

Hayden loved seeing Jam, even though he couldn't quite say her name. Jam is SO good with kids, and was so patient with Hayden and helped get the onry out of his pants more than once!

Jam got to meet Hadley and Jam, Lori and Jen got to be there for Hadley's special day. We were able to bless her that Sunday. Dan did a great job. I on the other hand didn't do so well, Hayden was probably the worst he has even been in sacrament I was so ready to send him to nursery that I took ZERO pic's! We will have to do a reenactment, because she looked beautiful in her dress. Lori made Hadley and I matching bracelets! SO cute!

We went to Coco Keys water resort which was a blast! But TOTALLY not worth full price, thank goodness we had discount tickets. Jam was so fun with Hayden and loved helping him swim, She is going to be an awesome mom some day!

Hayden was a little scarred at first and had to hold sis's hand as he walked around to check out the scene.

Lori, Jam and I went a little crazy on the headband making. Here are just a few of the ones we made. But it was really fun and I have gotten many comments on my headbands being out and about! Jam struggled a bit, so she was quickly put on gluegun duty while Lori and I worked in the sweat shop producing the roses!

Jam got her hot gluegun fingers all over my christmas toy! She is so creative and loved playing and cutting out things, she made me some sweet scrapbook pages and she got started on her home made calander, where does she get all her ideas from!??

Of course we had to take them to my new addiction, a hamburger joint in town. I think we all scarfed the burgers! We also went with Lori and Jen to gallory hop, and did some fun window shopping and found some treats for Jamies dog, Tacoma. Time went SO fast, and I wish I could be closer and see my family more often. It is such a treat to have them out here!

Posting the goals

I know I always talk about the kiddos on this blog, so I thought I should list some of my new goals and aspirations for once! Of course I will add the kiddos on too!
First new goal of the year (yes I know it is end of Feb.) Be more patient with my hubby, yes you read right, the hubby not the kiddos. For some reason when ever I get anxious or stressed the number one person that feels the pain is Daniel. I told Dan this goal and can't tell you how many times he laughs at me because I will be in the middle of saying something to Dan and stop and say oh wait, I am supposde to be nicer to you! He just laughs! He is usually pretty patient with me and puts up with my bossiness very well. But I feel like I owe it to him to "cool my jets" more often!
Another goal, as is with anyone who has had a child, lose the baby weight plus! I feel like if I post it I will have more pressure to fulfill this goal. I am SO close to being back to my weight before Hadley but I've got an extra ten to lose to be back where I was before Hayden. Running the 1/2 Marathon is also on my list, which Dan has decided to do with me. I think everybody and their dog is running this race in May which makes it all the more exciting. Training has actually been okay with Dan by my side and is helping me slowly fit back into all my old jeans :) My goal time... I would just like to finish. I just had a kid two months ago and was NOT in shape before that!
The last major goal for me is to keep a journal. Not just blogging, but actually writing in a book. I know that I love it when my mom shares her journal with me, and boy do I get a kick out of it. Why shouldn't I do the same. I would love to share all my memories and feeling with my family as I get older and pass on. I think it is also an awesome thing for me to look back on and realize the hard times and remember all of God's blessing. Dan and I have been all over the county and had many adventure to share with everyone, I just need to be better at writing them down. Well those are the major one I have been working on. Now on to the kiddos.

This is the scene at our house all the time

This proves how Sweet baby girl is, she totally puts up with mom all the time no matter how tired she is!

Hadley went in for her 2 month check up and did awesome with all the shots. She weight 12.2 lbs in the 70% and 23 inches tall 60% she has been turning up the charm! Her smiles can light up the room she has gotten so fast at eating. With her acid reflux she still spits up all over and is working on her distance. But this baby is just THEE sweetest thing. Not only is she sleeping through the night but the last two night she slept 11 hours! Which makes me love her even more!

My poor little boy has pretty much had ear infection for the last two months! We just can't get rid of them. Besides the ear aches this kid just cracks both Dan and I up. He will do anything to make you laugh, including maul you to death! He has been so good with his sister and loves to give her kisses and hugs. His favorite thing to do right now (besides play with cars) is playing on the treadmill with his cars!

Binky update

Thank you to all who gave the wonderful advice! I ended up using a few different ideas. We took it away a few days ago and life has been a lot better. It has been a lot easier than I ever expected. The tantrums have reduced. It takes more work to put him to bed at night but well worth it. When he started crying for his binky, I gave him a cut one and boy was he mad! He put it in and out of the trash about 3 times before he would leave it there for good and 1/2 hour after crying he fell asleep. He only asked for it once after that and now he just jabbers all the time and is actually talking! He repeats words that we say all the time.

Hayden and Hadley are so cute together, and get along so well. Hayden loves to snuggle and give her loves and Hadley totally puts up with it.

This is the first morning after the "broken binky" it was also Valentines day so I made pancakes. Needless to say the whip cream and berries disappeared but the pancakes were untouched. He is turning into such a picky eater! (side note, Dad was in charge of PJ's that night so he has on PJ bottoms and his dirty shirt from the night before!)

My sweet little misses! She is showing more of her personality and very passive I love it. How can you not love those dimples? And the fact that she starting sleeping through the night at 5 weeks and this week (8 weeks) she sleep through the night every night! OH heavenly!

Hayden loves helping sis get all buckled up!

Dan and I made it to the 4th and final Dental ball last weekend. The Mandiball was so fun. What is not fun about pretending you are in high school, getting all dressed up and making a fool out of yourself on the dance floor! Dan is been in school so long that it is hard to believe that Dental school is so close to coming to an end. We have made friends for life here in Ohio and its so sad to realize we are going to be all split up and all over the country in just a few months! I hope we will find some more wonderful people in Florida, and keep in touch with the strong bonds we have made here!

Cards for a special occasion

I have a sister that is AMAZING at card making. She can make anything you want for any body! My sister Jamie just started a blog for you to purchase cards. So make somebody feel special and send them a card! I LOVE getting mail (besides direct loans :) )I know a lot of my friends that read my blog are students and don't have too much dough but these are cheaper than what you buy at the store and SO much cuter. So if you can't afford them now than just go to her blog and click on the follow this blog at the top so in a few months when your hubby's graduate and you have a real paycheck you can easily find her blog and get some super cute cards. You can also send a comment if you want something customized! Check it out.

Mark your calendars

I have a date set, and I am going into the unknown world of a.................. BINKY-LESS TODDLER! I know it might not sound like a big deal but IT IS! Hayden is only allowed his Binky for naps and bedtime, but it is getting out of control. The emotional attachment has set in and tantrums about needing the bink all the time are getting worse. The blessings and curses of a binky! Why or Why didn't I get rid of it earlier. These next couple weeks might be pretty horrible for all those at our residence! I start on Monday so ANY and ALL suggestions will be appericated!

of course I have got to add a pic or two of my little darlings!
